Mikel Obi and Genevieve Nnaji become Amstel Malta brand Ambassadors
Nigerian Soccer star, Jon Obi Mikel and Nollywood Actress, Genevieve Nnaji have been announced as the new ambassadors for malt drink, Amstel Malta.
Back in February, the pair was flown to South Africa to shoot a
Television commercial for Amstel Malta, and pictures from the set were
later released, which sparked speculations over what they might be up
to.
The advert which is themed around the inspirational story of both
stars was unveiled for the first time to the audience at the recently
held 2014 African Magic Viewers choice awards.
Speaking on the endorsement, Genevieve said, ‘I’m delighted with
Amstel Malta’s efforts in celebrating our own with the world. I am very
excited about the opportunity this platform gives me to inspire the
youths and will definitely do my best to support this noble cause.’
Don Jazzy Set To Unveil His New Recording Studio

According to a report, the yet-to-be unveiled studio is a world class that was constructed by international sound engineers who have worked with acclaimed international producers.
It was also learnt that the studio which is situated in Lekki, Lagos, western Nigeria is the producer's source of income for talented artistes and upcoming producers who want to record songs and albums.
Don Jazzy recently signed on R&B singer, Korede Bello, to his Mavin Records label. Korede, like the other new Mavin acts before him, debuted with a single, African Princess, produced by Don jazzy.
Other artistes on the record label are the original Mavin crew, Tiwa Savage, D’Prince and Dr. Sid.

Tiwa Savage seeks Patoranking collabo on ‘MTV Base Official Naija Top 10′
On this week’s edition of MTV Base Official Naija Top 10, Burna Boy’s ‘Yawa dey’ stole the top spot from Wizkid.
Songstress, Tiwa Savage, was this week’s guest on on the show with VJ, Ehiz. The stunning singer and ‘Shuga 3’ actress who is number two on the chart with her monster video, ‘Eminado’, got up close and personal with VJ Ehiz and shared her thoughts on some of the videos on this week’s chart.
Tiwa also expressed her love for this week’s number 9 video, ‘Girlie O’ by fast rising act, Patoranking, and pleaded with her fans to help convince the upcoming singer to do a track with her.
Burna Boy made rapid progress this week as he hit the top spot. The Afrobeat star climbed three positions to displace Wizkid’s ‘Jaiye Jaiye’ after the latter had spent two weeks at the top.
A Young Iady Sells Three-day-old baby for N260,000 in Akwa Ibom state
Also arrested along with Imaobong were four persons for allegedly participating in the theft of the baby.
They are the buyer, Mrs. Regina James; her husband, Mfon James; the traditional birth attendant who delivered the baby, Mrs. Comfort Henry; and Mr Emmanuel Okon, a homeopathic doctor, who arranged the sale.
Commissioner of Police, Mr. Umar Gwadabe, said in Uyo on Monday that the father of the baby had reported the theft to the police, leading to the arrest of the suspects.

• The maiden edition of NEC held in
Lagos, 26 April 2013 and created a platform to initiate holistic
conversations among the industry’s practitioners, talents, interested
parties and investors of the sector.
• Sessions at the conference covered
various sectors of the industry including Music, Nollywood, Business of
entertainment, Media and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
• This year’s edition has now been announced to hold on Wednesday April 23, 2014.
The Nigeria Entertainment Industry is
evolving. The industry has a strong potential to contribute
unequivocally to the GDP of Nigeria alongside other sectors such as
agriculture and manufacturing, if proper structures and policies are put
in the right perspective to support it.
