i Did Not Say (Olusegun Obasanjo)Re-Electing Buhari In 2019 Will Collapse Niger

Ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo has denied reports that he said that re-electing President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 will collapse Nigeria.

The former head of state in a recent interview said that he never made such a statement. It was widely reported last week that Obasanjo made the comment while delivering a speech at the Bravatnik school of Government at Oxford University.

He said he has not visited London since early January 2018. He told Premiumtimes;

“I won’t and can’t say that (that Nigeria will collapse if Buhari is reelected). There will be nothing that will make Nigeria collapse. When Nigeria did not collapse under a civil war, it won’t collapse now.

My faith and conviction about Nigeria is so strong that I don’t see the country either being dismembered or collapsing. The worst has passed on Nigeria. Once we were able to survive the civil war, once we are able to survive (Sani) Abacha, nothing can be worst than those two. And our democracy is waxing strong. Although there are a few things we need to get right.

As far I am concerned, the worst is over. What remains is for all of us and for our leadership to show good faith and commitment to do what is right. Then Nigeria will grow from strength to strength.

These Are The Lessons To Learn From Black Panther Movie – Ex VP, Atiku

Many people were so happy to meet Ex Nigerian’s vice president, Atiku Abubakar when he came to the cinema to watch the Black Panther movie.
He reportedly paid for everyone he met at the cinema and it seems the man learnt one or two things from the movie and he didn’t fail to share what he learnt to his fellow Nigerians.
According to him, below are what he wrote as lessons to be learnt from the movie:
Over the weekend, I joined my children to watch the much talked about ‘Black Panther’. It was a good film, and I was happy they took me to see it. However, I came out of the movie theatre a little upset.
When the first scenes came up, and I saw “Sambisa Forest” I was unhappy that the only reference the film makers could have for Nigeria was a negative one, but I was later encouraged by the thought of Africans solving African problems. That is a good thing, the kinds of things we used to do.
For young people who may not remember, Nigerian civil servants and indeed most able citizens used to contribute money every month to support the struggle against Apartheid in South Africa.
