 rparting ways with Davido, Kamal Ajiboye has switched over to Seyi Shay’s camp as her manager.

Early in the year Nigerian pop star, Davido fell out with his manager of 4-years, Kamal Ajiboye. Sultry singer Seyi Shay used to be managed by her long time friend, Maduforo Chidinma fondly called ‘Didi Chiq’ in the industry before they parted ways as well, a couple of months back.

Now, Kamal who doubles as the CEO of Twenty20 Management company, has taken over as the official manager of the ‘right now’ singer, Seyi Shay.

Ajiboye and the singer propitiously held the ‘Seyi Shay’ experience concert at Crossroads, Eko Hotel last week and are both working on an end of year concert for her at Hard Rock Cafe come December 31st.v

Borno Cancels Holiday To Mark Sambisa's Fall

Borno State Government has shelved its plan to declare Friday (today) as a public holiday to mark the capture of Sambisa Forest from the Boko Haram insurgents.

The state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Mohammed Bulama, in a statement issued on Thursday in Maiduguri explained that the holiday was cancelled “on the grounds that since 22ndDecember of this year falls on a Friday which coincidentally dovetails into a four-day work-free period occasioned by the Christmas festivities.

Former Governor of old Kaduna State BALARABE Musa, and elder statesman, has revealed why Northern Nigeria has never allowed the country to have Peace, Unity as well as Progress.

Musa said the reason is because the region is academically lagging behind and will be needing at least 40 years to catch up with the southern region in terms of educational development .

The former governor said this in an interview with Punch Newspaper while reacting to the claim by the Emir of Kano , Alhaji Lamido Sanusi , who described northern Nigeria as being the poorest region in the country and in dire need of attention.

A Report Coming in Front Lagos - Ibadan Expressway

 
A truck driver driving against traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday crushed three persons at Arepo, Ogun state area of the highway.
Mr Clement Oladele , the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in Ogun, who confirmed the accident, told newsmen in Abeokuta that the three persons died on the spot.
He said that the driver of the ash-coloured truck was travelling from Lagos to Ibadan in the morning and the three victims were male.

“The accident was caused by route violation and dangerous driving because the driver of the truck was facing one way.
“The police have apprehended the driver of the truck,” Oladele said
The sector commander said that the FRSC ambulance conveyed the corpses of the dead to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) mortuary.

The former apex bank chief noted that it would take nothing short of a miracle for the Federal Government to return the naira to its exchange rate to the dollar as of the time Buhari took over on May 29, 2015.

He said, “Buhari met a very bad situation when he assumed power, but he has made the situation worse. Nigeria today is a fragile state with a failing economy. Some say failing state; some say failed state.

Cargo Train Travelling From Lagos to Kano Falls Off Rail In Osogbo

 

However, after it got to Dagbolu, an outskirt town in Osogbo at about 2:30a.m, tragedy struck as about three coaches attached to the end of the passenger train, got detached from the rest of the coaches.

According to the Punch, eyewitnesses alleged that the three coaches started moving backwards, until they got to the interchange at the terminus around Old Garage area in Osogbo, where the wheels got off the track and the three coaches fell on their sides.

    Here’s what Rasheed told the Punch correspondent:

    “We gathered that the train left Lagos for Kano. It got to Osogbo around 1:30 a.m. and continued with the journey shortly after that.

    “The three coaches carrying goods got detached from the train and started reversing from Dagbolu area until they came back to Old Garage. The reverse would have continued but the coaches derailed when they got to the interchange and fell down.

Members of the Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP), would begin an indefinite nationwide strike on March 6, 2017, March
Ayinde Obisesan, NUAHP National General-Secretary, made the announcement on Saturday in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a directive to the workers, he said “You are hereby directed to commence an indefinite strike action with effect from 12: 01 am, Monday, 6 March, 2017, until otherwise directed.
“This is sequel to the ultimatum issued to the government since 20 January, 2017 and the inability of government to address our demands positively.”
NUAHP is an umbrella union for health workers such as physiotherapists, pharmacists, dieticians, medical laboratory scientists, optometrists and radiographers.
Others are dental therapists, medical physicists, health information officers, clinical psychologists and medical social workers.

“Buhari Determined To End Frustration Of Doing Business In Nigeria” – says Osinbajo

 

The Vice President made the disclosure at the media launch of MSME clinics at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to end the frustration people face in doing business with government agencies.

In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, and sent to DAILY POST, Osinbajo recalled how the President sometime in July 2015 spoke to him about the frustrations of those who do business with government agencies.

Osinbajo revealed that Buhari gave an instance where a Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, “wanted to install a cancer screening equipment donated by a friendly government several years ago, and it took 7years to finally install it.

“He said how does the economy function when government agencies are prepared to deliberately or unwittingly frustrate economic agents.”

The number two man explained that such attitude informed Buhari’s decision to set-up the Presidential Enabling Business Council which was aimed at creating a conducive environment for business people
