Heavy Tension as S'East Importers Call For Revolution, go Against BUHARI ALI HAMED, MAGU

Importers from the South- East geo-political zone have called on Nigerians to revolt against the imposition of the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Alhaji Hameed Ali and the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Chairman of Nigeria Importers Association, Anambra State Chapter, Chief Gilbert Obi, who said this while speaking with journalists in his office at Onitsha, said the NCS urged Nigerians to join the National Assembly in calling for the removal of Ali and Magu.

He urged President Buhari to adhere to the call of the Senate, stressing that this would give the president’s anti-corruption drive more legitimacy. “Actually, I did not want to talk on this issue, but because of the polity being heated up by Hameed Ali and Ibrahim Magu in the National Assembly, I felt that as a stakeholder in the Nigerian imports industry, I should add my voice in calling for the resignation of the Customs head.
Ali, who was a soldier and not a Customs officer nor politician but because of his military background everything is militarisation. “This was a self – inflicted injury because the Federal Government should have picked a Customs officer or at worsts a retired custom officer, than a soldier who does not understand any other language than to kill.
The military are not democrat and therefore such people with military background should not be imposed on Nigeria no matter whose interest is gored.
