Ex-governor of Lags State responds to corruption allegation, says it's a sponsored witch-hunt

 In the statement, Fashola said the people spreading accusing him of corruption and asking the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate have been paid.

Following pressure from different quarters on President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the immediate past governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, the ex-governor has released a statement to counter all the accusations of fraud against him.
In the statement, Fashola said the people accusing him of corruption and asking the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate him have been paid huge amount of money to do so.
On the alleged N78mllion contract approved for the state website, he noted that the fund was not only meant for website development, it included mobile application development and other things, which he detailed in the communique.
Also addressing the issue of extra marital paternity, he said he did not father any child outside wedlock, adding that he only adopted three children who were orphaned by the Dana crash of 2012, stating that he went through due process.
